The Labrador Retriever (or Lab) is one of the most popular dog breeds in the world. They are very intelligent dogs with a great sense of smell and they make excellent family pets.

There are many different types of Labrador Retrievers, but there are two main varieties: the Standard and the Toy.

Standard Labradors come in several colors including black, chocolate brown, chestnut red, cinnamon orange and fawn. Most have white markings on their bodies and some even have spots or other patterns.

Some of them may even look like miniature poodles!

Toy Labs tend to be smaller than standard labs with lighter colored coats such as cream or golden brown. They are usually a bit smaller than Pomeranians.

These little guys will do just fine in your home.

There are also a few mixes of both types of dogs available such as the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT), the Staffordshire Bull Terrier (SBS) and the German Shepherd Dog (GSD).

Some of these mixed breed dogs have been known to produce some interesting results, so it’s best not to get too attached to any particular litter.

The Labrador Retriever is an excellent hunter with a great sense of smell. They are very intelligent, friendly, energetic and loyal dogs that love to play fetch and swim.

They are easy to train, but, as with all breeds, they do eventually mature.

These large dogs need a lot of space and love long walks and vigorous running. They tend to get bored easily so they need something to do.

They also need plenty of food to eat!

Labrador Retrienders are very friendly and affectionate dogs. They get along with most everyone, even strangers, and love to meet new people.

Some may be more aggressive than others depending on their breeding.

They are naturally protective of their homes and families, so they will sound the alarm when strangers come around, but will not attack without a reason. Most Labs will do best with older children; the younger ones tend to unintentionally hurt them.

Labrador Retrievers are very much water dogs with webbed feet, dense coats and a natural ability to swim. They love to chase after sticks, floating toys and whatever else you may toss in the water and will gladly retrieve them for you.

They also enjoy swimming for exercise and fun.

Lab mixes tend to retain many of these traits, but some don’t seem to like the water quite as much. It really just depends on the dog.

These dogs are very intelligent and can be trained to perform a number of tasks. They are often used as guide dogs for the blind, hearing dogs for the deaf and sometimes for helping people with other physical disabilities.

In some countries, they are also trained to locate explosives and search and rescue missions.Lab mixes make excellent pets, but you really need to do your research before getting one as they can be a bit difficult to obedience train unless you have the time and patience.

They can also be a little on the expensive side as far as food and veterinarian bills go, but most of these expenses are negated when you have them fetch sticks and other throw-aways for you.

You should also make sure you have the proper living arrangements for one as they do need a lot of space. They won’t do well in small apartments or houses.
